The reason we don't remember our past is because nature wants us to continue living and find purpose. If everyone starts remembering things we won't function as present will be overshadowed by the past.

People will always be inclined to Maya which will lead to greed and chaos. People are already so self absorbed that they don't care about fellow humans. Also I heard, after leaving body, the soul travels and visits the places they visited when they were alive, so a soul actually has ability to HOLD memories.

Rebirth can be explained only through quantum theory because memory of the deceased is stored in the consciousness (soul) which is carried forward to the next birth. The subtle energy is soul and can not be proved by concrete evidence of physical being.

I have recently understood this concept of Moksha. It might sound odd or funny. But I am so depressed since then. Moksha means merging with God. But I have so many questions. Why did God seperated us and put in this world of desires and made it a test. After attaining moksha, will I forget my lifetimes? My loved ones? Will my soul have its conciousness or will I go into an eternal sleep?? This is all depressing and scary. At some point even I feel the people in heaven are perhaps luckier as they would be able to meet the people they met in this world. I am so depressed and keep crying most of the time.
